Delta XWhere is he?Drew lied on his bed, looking up at the ceiling of his dorm room, while one of his earbuds was in his ear playing rock music. He thought back to earlier that day when his Chemistry teacher assigned partners for some lab report they have to do by next Wednesday. Drew was assigned some guy named Alexandre Arbor, who always stuck out in class despite his rather bland and dark appearance. It's not like Drew minded this arrangement, it was just going to be weird for Drew to do some project with a guy he barely knows. And there is also the fact that Drew hates group projects. Every single time he has been assigned partners for one, they'd either not do their part, do it horribly, be rude, and the list goes on. Never has he ever had a good experience with group projects. Now he waited for Alexandre to get there to his dorm, so they can get started on getting this stupid lab report over with.

*a. arbor A l e x a n d r e ' A l ' A r b o r Al thought it was strange that so early in the semester, he was already doing a chemistry project. Of course, that might have been the whole point of the project -- an icebreaker among students, maybe. He couldn't say it was working so far, as he was running late and almost sprinting to his partner's dorm room. Although he really did think it couldn't just be his fault. It definitely hadn't been his fault that the cafe was selling really good iced coffee that he'd made a detour across the campus to. All right, it was a little bit his fault. He opened the door to his partner's room, trying to stop breathing like he'd run across campus (despite the fact that hey, he had), and straightened up. "Sorry I'm late... Drew, right? Good afternoon."

Drew jumped up, scared by Alexandre's sudden arrival. He took out his earbud out of his ear, and turned the volume all the way down on his cell phone, and then sat it to the side. "Yea, my name's Drew...good afternoon to you too." Not wanting to waste any time (because Drew hated to work late at night on homework), he walked from his bed to his black backpack that sat on the floor and unzipped it to take out his Chemistry textbook. He walked back, and opened his laptop and sat back onto his comfy unmade bed. Drew pointed across the room to a made up bed that seemed to not have been slept in a very long time. "You can sit there if you want," Drew told him. "I don't have a roommate yet."
