St. Juno Academy Rules
Before we tell y'all the rules, we want you to know that on this forum, ANY LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE OF ROLEPLAYING IS ALLOWED! Pro at it? Awesome. Novice? Great. First time roleplaying? Amazing. See, it doesn't matter to us. So don't be scared if you feel like you won't be good at it; we've all been there before. So don't worry, okay? ^^
No Bad Language
While some words are okay to use, some are not acceptable and will be filtered in the chat. We will let you know to stop. However, showing continuity of such language in chat and in the forum will result in a warning, and could lead up to a ban in the future if the behavior continues.
No NSFW
NO NSFW AT ALL! More accurately sexual themes. Romance is cool, but no sex scenes or anything of the sort, okay? We want to share this forum with younger roleplayers as well, so NSFW is a big no-no. While we'll be lenient on gore, just don't overuse and abuse it. Since this is a more serious rule, we'll give a ban for about a day or two. If it continues, you're out.
No Powerplaying
Powerplaying is when you control another member's character, which is no fun. You may want the other person's character to do something, but just wait till the roleplayer decides what to do with their character.
No Godmodding
This is when you make your character invincible and very Mary Sue. That's no fun! FLAWS ARE A THING! Besides, it'll just make your character not fun to roleplay with.
No One-Liners nor Little Information
Okay, so the title of this rule is a little misleading by what we mean. One-liners aren't really recommended, but if it provides enough information for someone to respond to, then that's fine. However, usually with a one-liner there isn't much to respond to, so make a more detailed response, okay? Try to give as much information as you can so it's good enough for someone to respond to. Preferably over about five lines.
No Harassment
Do NOT harrass other users on the site! This includes, but not limited to:
If a staff member happens to be doing these things, consult another staff member about it! We'll be sure to give them a ban, as well as taking away their staff position.
No Roleplaying Characters without Approval
You MUST have your character approved by a staff member before roleplaying! There may be something that needs to be changed, added, or deleted on the application submitted, so please be patient until a staff member sees your application. Once it's approved, then you're free to roleplay with that character as much as you want! You HAVE TO submit a new application for each new character. There is no limit on how many characters you can have.
Don't give out your Personal Contact Information
Again, a misleading title for a rule. This is fine if you want to exchange personal contact information and stuff with a friend you made here in private messaging (HOWEVER, do this at your own risk! Be careful!), but in the forum and in chat it is not allowed. However, mentioning stuff like YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc. is absolutely fine!
If any of the above happens to you or you see it happen to someone else, let us staff know immediately!
St. Juno Academy Roleplay Board Rule Thing
Yea, didn't know what to call this. Basically, post your roleplay threads within the sub-boards of the St. Juno Academy Roleplay board. Only things that go in the board, but not the sub-boards would be announcements about site stuff and events. Also, once done with a roleplaying thread, or if you're discontinuing it, then add the label "Ended" to it. If you want to have a thread only to you and certain people, then put the label "Private" on the thread and include the user's names in the beginning post of the thread. If you want to add someone to it, just edit the first post. If it's a public thread for anyone to join, add the label "Public."
STEPS OF PUNISHMENT (SOME MAY BE SKIPPED DEPENDING ON THE CIRCUMSTANCES OR RULE):
1. User is told to stop what they're doing (This may happen once or twice).
2. User is given a warning.
3. User is given a one or two day ban.
4. User is given a one week ban.
5. User is permanently banned from St. Juno Academy.
Got another rule you think should be added? Private message Delta or imozzy about it! You can also suggest ideas for the site, new locations, etc.!
Let's not break the rules, and just have fun here! They aren't hard to obey, and should be easy to follow! I look forward to roleplaying with you!
See you in class!
